Carlisle & Finch No. 12 Paper Label Boxcar c. 1903-9

Description

Carlisle & Finch 2 gauge No. 12 paper label boxcar from circa 1903-9. Normally yellow, this car is very dark and looks almost orange, possibly due to a varnish changing color. Features paper label around car, black tin roof, black lettering and trim, “1141” and “C.B. & Q. / R.R.” printed near both sides and on doors plus “Fast Freight”, iron wheels, and bumper band couplers. Paper is lifting in a few places (see photos). Measures approximately 10” x 3.25”. In overall Good (C5) condition. Great for the collector!
